Grand Rails 2012

77th Annual NMRA National Convention

Bruce Chubb's SV Oregon Sys.

HO Std. Gauge Bruce Chubb Sunset Valley ? Oregon System 2600 Sq. Ft. Scenery 70 % Gen. Freight This is one heck of a model railroad! 2600 sq. ft. on five levels, modeling 10 railroads with live interchanges. Bruce uses the NCE DCC system with full implementation of his C/MRI for signaling. It requires two fully functional CTC panels, one a GRS the other a US & S plus a dispatcher for the branch lines that will use TT/TO to keep the trains running. Bruce is modeling the Southern Pacific from Dunsmuir, CA. to Portland, OR. To serve the many wood products producers in the area he has included several logging operations including Fruit Growers Supply that interchanges with the SP at Hilt, CA. Scenery and structures are 70% complete. The layout is being constructed and operated by a crew of 38+ dedicated modelers from all around west Michigan. Sixty volunteers were involved in the design and historical and operational research that was used in the planning of this monumental project. Tour No.: Accessible by Special Ticket ONLY
